The Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection has approved a new project by Blenem Enterprises Ltd.
According to the developer's release, a rehabilitation center for the elderly will be built in the Peyia district of Paphos.
It will be opened based on an old hotel complex, which has been abandoned since the early 90s. The hotel will be completely renovated and adapted to the needs of the rehabilitation center. According to the project, the renovated building will include a basement, ground floor, and two above-ground floors. The total building area will be 10,777 m2.
The territory around the new center will be landscaped. A spacious parking lot will be arranged for the convenience of patients and staff.
The project also includes the construction of a biological wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 20 m2 per day and a 200 m2 storage tank for treated water.
The plant is expected to meet the proposed development's needs and treat all liquid waste generated during its operation.
The approximate cost of the project reaches 2 million euros. The implementation period will be 2 years after obtaining the necessary permits. The project falls within the planning zone for recreational facilities (P2). Access to the center will be via Vatudion Street.
