The Cyprus Environment Ministry has approved the extension and renovation of a private clinic in the Agios Andreas area within the municipal boundaries of Nicosia.
According to the department, the estimated cost of the work is €7 million. The project will take 36 months to complete once all the necessary permits have been obtained from the relevant authorities and services.
According to the plan, the medical centre will have an extension on the fourth floor, an open terrace of 100 m2, four modern operating theatres and associated ancillary rooms. Once operational, the facility will have 40 modern wards with a total capacity of 77 beds. In addition, the clinic will have 7 operating theatres and a diagnostic department. The changes will also affect the car park, which will be expanded to 97 spaces.
Remember that the building was first constructed in 1990. It consisted of a basement, ground floor and two floors.
In 2004, the clinic was renovated and an additional floor was added to house the gynaecology and obstetrics department. The building was later extended to give it its current appearance. In 2023, the management company was authorised to carry out exceptional modernisation work on the basement, 1st and 2nd floors of the building.
