A new complex of 31 luxury villas is to be built in Paphos.
The Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection recently granted Leptos Calypso Hotels Public Ltd permission for a new major project worth €6 million.
According to the submitted plan, 20 three-bedroom villas (each with an area of approximately 108m2) and 11 two-bedroom villas (each with an area of approximately 103m2) will be built in the picturesque area of Peyia. All buildings will have 2 storeys and a height of approximately 10 metres.
The project will also include seven private and one communal swimming pool, its own biological sewage treatment plant and fencing. There will also be an EAC substation and a solar photovoltaic system on the site, demonstrating the developer's commitment to sustainable and energy efficient development. The development will have a spacious car park with 38 parking spaces.
The development will be located in an area of active tourism and residential development, making the project a logical extension of the existing infrastructure. In the vicinity of the site there are both residential areas and resort facilities.
It is important to note that the development site is not included in the protected areas of the Natura 2000 network, and the nearest protected area - the Akamas Peninsula - is located approximately 1.4 km from the complex. There is also no state forest land within the project boundaries, minimising the impact on the natural environment.
The new complex in Peyia will be part of a growing trend to create modern, sustainable and comfortable spaces in Cyprus. It will not only enhance the region's image as an attractive place to live and invest, but will also contribute to the development of the local economy and construction sector.
