The Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection has issued a permit for the construction of a new stadium in the village of Giolou in the Paphos area.
According to a release from the department, the project includes:
- a 6,000 m2 soccer field;
- locker rooms with an area of 80 m2;
- sanitary rooms with an area of 33 m2;
- event space
- warehouse with the area of 18 m2;

The project also provides for the creation of a parking lot for 32 parking spaces, four of which will be allocated for people with disabilities, and one for buses.
A fence will be built around the entire perimeter of the new stadium and parking area.
Access to the facility will be via the existing road network of the Giolou community, which is considered satisfactory. The stadium will have a capacity of 1,300 people.
The cost of the project is estimated at €1.5 million. Preparatory works on the land allocated for the stadium have already started.
