The Department of Environment of Cyprus has issued a permit for the construction of an 18-storey high-rise in the Neapolis area of Limassol. The project valued at 22 million euros belongs to the company P.G. Economides Properties Ltd.
According to the release, a skyscraper about 87 m high will be built on a plot of 3,123 m2, combining commercial premises, office spaces, and food and beverage areas. The project also includes a basement level, a mezzanine, a rooftop garden, and two underground floors. The total building area will exceed 8.2 thousand m2, while the site coverage will be approximately 1.25 thousand m2.
Parking, infrastructure, and amenities
The new complex will include 146 parking spaces (including spaces for people with disabilities). They will be arranged on underground levels, on the ground floor, and on an additional level of the building. The project also includes parking areas for bicycles and mopeds, which corresponds to modern requirements for environmentally friendly mobility and sustainable urban development.
Construction timeline and current situation on the site
The start of construction work is planned after receiving all necessary documents. The implementation of the project is expected to take about 28 months. Before construction begins, all unnecessary structures will be demolished.
Location and significance for the area
The future complex will appear in a zone where residential development predominates, but commercial and business facilities are actively developing. It is located just a few dozen meters from the coastal avenue and near the well-known Oval business center.
Experts note that such projects reflect the current development trends of Limassol: the growth of high-rise construction, mixed-use buildings, and increased business activity in coastal areas. At the same time, authorities are strengthening environmental oversight, paying attention to issues of transport, noise, energy efficiency, and the impact on the urban environment.
