The Cyprus Environment Ministry has granted planning permission for the construction of a large office and residential complex in the Kato Polemidia area of Limassol.
This will allow Iskario Trading Ltd to proceed with its major project.
The developer intends to construct two buildings with a height of 48 metres. Each building will have an underground level with a car park, a mezzanine and 9 ground floors with apartments and offices. In addition, each building will have a large covered terrace on the roof.
In total, there will be 56 apartments and 18 offices in the high-rise buildings. Each floor will have 4 apartments (two one-bedroom and two two-bedroom). For the convenience of guests and residents of the complex, there will be 321 parking spaces, including 16 for the disabled. In addition, the proposed project would provide 30 bicycle parking spaces.
.
According to the authority, the development area is divided into two urban planning zones.
One is for commercial and other activities outside the densely populated urban area, and the other is for a predominantly residential area. The total built-up area on which the complex will be built is estimated to be approximately 700 m2. The project will be implemented in one phase and the complex is expected to be completed within 30 months.
As there is currently a commercial building of approximately 600 m2 on the site, the new project will be preceded by its demolition. Access to the development will be from Paphos Avenue and Miltiadis Stylianou Street. The ministry said that the project will not be subject to a specific environmental assessment as it is not located in a protected area of the Natura 2000 network. The project area does not fall within a zone of special protection or an object of public importance.
