In the Aradippou area of Larnaca, the construction of a modern dairy processing and production plant is planned. The project, initiated by the Pancyprian organization of sheep and goat breeders, will allow processing up to 20 thousand liters of milk daily, creating additional jobs and improving the quality of Cypriot dairy products.
The plant is being built on a leased plot of 3,794 m2, while the total building area will be about 1,120 m2. The project is designed for full use of the land plot with a 100% building coefficient and a 60% coverage coefficient.
Technologies and functionality of the new plant
The production complex will include specialized facilities for pasteurization, cheesemaking, production of trahanas and halloumi, sections for yogurt and milk packaging, as well as modern refrigeration and sterilization rooms. Offices and technical premises are provided for staff, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the plant.
The investment amount for the project is 1.25 million euros, and the implementation period is 12 months from the moment of obtaining the building permit. The plant will be equipped with modern equipment and environmentally safe processing technologies that comply with European standards.
Significance of the project for Larnaca and Cyprus
The new plant will become an important part of the Aradippou industrial zone, located more than 1.5 km from residential areas and equipped with all necessary infrastructure: roads, water supply, electricity, and telecommunications.
The project strengthens Cyprus’s position in the dairy market, supports sustainable agriculture, and promotes the introduction of green practices in dairy processing. The plant will not only increase production capacity but will also become an example of modern environmentally friendly standards in the island’s agro-industrial sector.
