The Cyprus Environmental Protection Department has given Saga Body Therapy Ltd the go-ahead to transform a derelict complex into a luxury 5-star hotel in Ayia Napa.
According to the department, work on the project will begin once the developer has received all the necessary documents and will take approximately 12 months.
Saga Body Therapy Ltd plans to build five 2-storey blocks with 45 luxury rooms. The spacious, comfortable rooms will be decorated in a refined, modern style, using pleasant pastel colours. The design and interior of each room has been carefully thought out and designed to provide guests with a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
The new tourist complex called Romulus Hotel will have 9 swimming pools with a total surface area of 198 m2. For the convenience of the guests, the hotel will also have a spacious car park with 79 parking spaces, 7 of which will be reserved for people with disabilities, 1 for buses and 10 for bicycles.
It should be noted that the site where the works will be carried out is adjacent to the Larnaca-Paralimni motorway. The Romulus Hotel is expected to combine high quality services with true Cypriot hospitality. The cost of the project is estimated at €5 million.
We would like to remind you that tourism is one of the leading industries in Cyprus and its development is a priority for the country's economy.
Hundreds of thousands of foreign guests visit the island every year. Their number is increasing rapidly. According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Tourism, there are more than 800 hotels in Cyprus, which can accommodate around 100,000 tourists. Despite this, there is an acute shortage of hotel beds in the country. In recent years, however, this gap has been actively filled with the construction of new hotels and the renovation of old ones.
