Laertes Health LTD will erect a large 4-story building in the Municipality of Engomi, on land that has been allocated by The Church of Cyprus.
The hospital was designed by the international architectural firm HKS from Texas, USA, Dubai and Singapore and Cyprus MDG Architects, which specialize in the design of high-end hospitals.
As indicated in the environmental report, the proposed development will consist of one building with a basement, ground floor, four ground floors and a roof garden.
The total building area will be 30,310 m2.
The building will have:
- Reception offices, waiting areas
- Pharmacy
- Electromechanical rooms
- Toilets for visitors, patients and staff
- Cafe and restaurant
- Survey Center
- Utility rooms
- Rehabilitation center with physiotherapy department, gym, changing rooms, swimming pool for hydrotherapy and rehabilitation
- Kitchen and food warehouses
- Outdoor dining area for staff
- Waste management facilities
- Morgue
- Changing rooms for staff
- Warehouses for storing consumables, equipment and other things
- Administration offices
- Operating rooms with their auxiliary rooms
- 1-, 2- and 3-bed chambers
- Roof Garden
- Underground parking and ground floor parking
- Well-maintained premises on the first and other floors
- Mechanical spaces
The new hospital will be built to the west of the Cyprus International Fair, next to the Makario Stadium in Engomi.
The estimated cost of the project is 50 million euros.
Construction work is expected to begin in 2022 and be completed in 2025.
