On Monday 27 January, the Municipality of Paralimni Derinia signed a contract with Gabriel & Sons (Γαβριήλ & Υιοί ΛΤΔ) for an important infrastructure project.
Under the contract, the contractor will construct a modern multi-storey car park on Antoni Papadopoulou Street in the centre of Paralimni, next to the Municipality building.
The car park will consist of two underground levels and two ground levels. It will be able to park a maximum of 296 cars at the same time. At the same time, 19 spaces will be equipped for people with disabilities and 3 for electric cars. For the convenience of drivers, the new car park will have three high-speed lifts.
The Mayor of Paralimni Derinia, Yorgos Nikolettos, said that this is a very important project that will relieve the roads, solve parking problems and make the centre of the resort town more comfortable for pedestrians and locals.
Work on the new car park is expected to start in February 2025 and take 18 months to complete. The cost of the project is estimated at €6,762,520. The City Planning Department has allocated a large part of the funds for its implementation. The architects and project managers are specialists from AF MODINOS & SA VRAHIMIS CHARTERED ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS.
