The Larnaca Tennis Club has started the construction of new courts on the premises of the Larnaca Tennis Club. The management is also planning to renovate all the rooms in the building.
The sports complex will also be completely modernised.
The plan is to have a modern gym, comfortable changing rooms, a luxurious rooftop swimming pool, conference rooms and a doctor's surgery. The club will also increase the number of tennis courts (by at least three). The project will take about two years to complete.
As it is noted, "the overhaul of the tennis club will make it possible to organise major international tournaments on its territory in the coming years, which will benefit the local economy".
It is worth remembering that the Larnaca Tennis Club was founded in 1958 in the centre of the coastal town.
Initially, club members trained on two clay courts. Today, the club has eight courts with different surfaces. There is a children's tennis academy, regular training sessions for the best tennis players in Cyprus, national competitions, junior and veteran tournaments. The club is constantly visited by about three hundred people.
Sports infrastructure of the club:
- 3 hard courts;
- 5 clay courts;
- 1 mini tennis court;
- 1 training wall;
- Small gym.
Additional options:
- Clubhouse;
- Cafeteria;
- Children's playground.
