Two modern parks are under construction in Frenaros, a village located in the free areas of Famagusta.
Paralimni-Deryneia Mayor Yiorgos Nikoletos recently signed a contract with MMV Progress Ltd. Director Marios Vassiliou.
According to Nikoletos, the project's goal is to create modern, safe play areas that will become an integral part of family leisure in the region.
Construction will affect the public parks on Pella Pais and Kosmas Kurris streets. A complete renovation of the existing playgrounds is also planned. The project includes installing certified, injury-proof flooring and innovative play equipment that meets modern safety and design standards.
The future playgrounds will feature a variety of entertaining play elements, including balancing swings, spring rockers, multifunctional structures for active games, and comfortable benches for parents. All equipment is designed to ensure children can have fun while staying safe outdoors.
During the signing of the contract, Nikoletos emphasized the importance of the project for the municipality's residents. He stressed that the city authorities' priority remains improving the quality of life for residents, especially families with young children.
"We continue to invest in infrastructure that makes our region convenient, comfortable, and livable," said the mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia.
Work on the park renovations will begin shortly, and the project is expected to be completed within a few months. Soon, residents of the Frenaros district will have access to modern play areas that promote children's development, communication, and active recreation.
The project will improve the area's appearance and underscore the municipality's commitment to sustainable development, safety, and the needs of the younger generation.
