On Thursday, August 3rd, the Municipality of Larnaca signed the long-awaited contract with the winner of the tender for the construction of a large park in the Tsakilero area.
The ambitious project's implementation has been entrusted to C. Roushas Trading and Development Ltd.
As anticipated, the developer will create a modern space for events and leisure, unlike any other in the historical residence areas of Cypriot refugees.
It's worth noting that the project's design was developed by the architectural firms AF Modinos and SA Vrahimis Architects and Engineers.

The social project envisions:
- Establishing a children's playground, areas for active recreation and sports activities.
- Constructing an open-air amphitheater with a capacity of around 150 people.
- Building a cafeteria and sanitary facilities.
- Installing new anti-vandal lighting.
- Placing urban equipment.
- Landscaping.
- Underground work for engineering networks (water supply and irrigation systems, sewage and electrical supply).
Construction is set to commence in September, with an estimated completion time of 18 months.
The project is valued at 1.8 million euros + VAT.
Funding has been provided by the European Union under the "THALEIA 2021-2027" program, the Cyprus government, and the Municipality of Larnaca.
