On Monday, November 27, Cyprus' Department of Environment approved the construction of a large-scale park in the Nicosia area.
The new public space will have a length of about 3 km and will start 500 m from the residential center of Dali municipality and end at a distance of about 400 m from the residential core of Pera Chorio village.
According to the plan, the new park will feature:
- bicycle and pedestrian paths,
- modern lighting, comfortable benches, and recreation areas,
- open areas for sports (outdoor exercise equipment).
- dog walking areas,
- playgrounds for children,
- a nature and bird observatory,

Hundreds of trees and shrubs will be planted on the territory of the new park.
For the convenience of visitors there will be a parking lot for 44 cars, including for people with disabilities. By the way, the park itself will also be fully adapted for the disabled.
Access to the new public space will be realized through the existing road network of the district.
The cost of the project is estimated at 3 million euros + VAT. According to the responsible architect, the construction of the park will last approximately 18 months after all the necessary permits have been obtained.
