Work on the large-scale project "Lempa Cultural Village" has been completed.
It will be possible to visit the new space in December. This was announced the other day by community leader Thoukididis Chrysostomou.
Recall that the creation of the village was divided into two phases. First, the workers were engaged in the construction of the college building, and then - premises for students and teachers to live in. All the surrounding buildings were decided to be done in the spirit of modern art. The project occupies an area of 1.7 thousand m2. Its cost is estimated at 4 million euros. The funds were allocated by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education of Cyprus.
The project of the cultural village was selected following a competition. The winner was a team of Cypriot architects - Spiros Spyrou, Haris Christodoulou, Angela Zisimopoulou and Haris Solomou.

Stass Paraskos, founder of the College of Arts, was the idea behind the creation of the "cultural village" in Lempa.
His work was then continued by the former Minister of Education Akis Kleanthous. By the way, thanks to them, Lempa will become a place for the dissemination and development of the fine arts of Cyprus. It will have workshops, exhibition halls, accommodation for artists and teachers, and all the necessary infrastructure to accommodate visitors from all over Cyprus and EU countries. They will study sculpture and ceramic art, for which Lempa has been famous since ancient times.
After the death of Stass Paraskos, the Village Council prioritized the continuation of the school founded by him. In the course of realizing this intention, all the buildings and facilities of the school that Paraskhos had in his possession were transferred to the Lempa Village Council.
