The Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection has approved the construction of a new event space in Larnaca, in the municipality of Aradippou.
The cost of the project is estimated at 2 million euros. The implementation period will be 2 years.
According to the release, the building plot is located at an altitude of about 40-45 meters above sea level, in a residential area with a maximum allowable building height of up to three floors. It is currently occupied by two abandoned buildings, one of which will be demolished and the other renovated for future use. About 350 m southeast of the site there is the Rizoelia traffic circle and 1.1 km to the west the residential center of the municipality of Aradippou. Within a radius of about 1 km there are mostly residential houses as well as schools, a park, individual commercial and mixed developments.

As envisioned, the project will consist of a new and modernized building. The former will house a spacious banquet hall and exhibition space with a total area of 1,485.59 m2, while the latter will house stores, a cafeteria and sanitary facilities. In addition, a decorative pond with a depth of 50 cm, covered terraces with a total area of 233.13 m2 and a small chapel will appear on the territory of the multifunctional space.
For the convenience of visitors, a spacious parking lot for 56 parking spaces will be provided, five of which will be allocated for people with disabilities and one for catering vehicles. The realization of the project will start as soon as all necessary documents are received.
