The Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection has given the green light to a new office complex being built on a site next to the coastal road and the new Lidl supermarket in the municipality of Agios Athanasios in Limassol.
The authority says the total investment in the project will be around €20m.
Construction will start as soon as the relevant paperwork is in place and will take about two years. The commercial building will have 13 floors with a total height of 64 metres. The high-rise will have spacious and comfortable offices, a cosy lounge area, as well as underground parking for 336 spaces for employees and clients. The high-rise will include a basement, mezzanine, three underground levels and 13 ground floors.
The total area of the plot is 6,000 m². The land is currently empty.
There are already several commercial facilities, catering outlets and mixed-use complexes around the future office high-rise. Just 2 metres to the south is the "Dasudi" park and 45 metres to the south is a beautiful beach. The famous "Oval", which consists of sixteen floors and is about 75 metres high, is also not far away.
The idea behind this new project is to help meet some of the labour and commercial needs of the wider Limassol municipality. The construction of this commercial tower is expected to create new jobs and further strengthen the region by enhancing the socio-economic character of the area.
