Chrysopolitissa is a small, quiet neighborhood in the district of Larnaca, which is currently home to about 8,000 people. It is among the tourist destinations, thanks to the church of the same name in the center.
The neighborhood is close to the village of Agia Anargiri II and the neighborhood of Sotiros.
The most famous private schools in Larnaca, the recently renovated Archaeological Museum and the promenade of Finikoudes are within walking distance at about 900 meters.
The most famous streets are Chrysopolitissa, Kimonos, Evagoras Pallikarides, Nikolaou Katalonou, Athanasiou Sakelariou and Archiepiskopou Kyprianou Avenue.
The neighborhood mukhtaris - Julia from Kimonos Street (κοινοταρχες Τζουλιανα Ελληνα) is known by all locals and of course by small business entrepreneurs. She will always help with public space organization, cleaning, and getting papers for residency permits to the migration service and other government offices. So, if you are a new resident of the neighborhood, we advise you to meet the mukhtaris first.
Why do people choose the Chrysopolitissa neighborhood
The infrastructure of the neighborhood is very diverse and it is convenient to live, work, study and lead an active lifestyle here. During the morning hours, there is sometimes a little congestion on the narrow Chrysopolitissis Street, but by midday and into the evening, traffic is moderate. The area is very close to the center and has convenient exits to the main roads towards Limassol and the capital Nicosia.

A hidden gem from the general public, Panagia Chrysopolitissa Church, also known as Panagia Chrysopolitissa, Virgin Mary Chrysopolitissa Church and Chrysopolitissa Church, is an Orthodox Church in Larnaca that was built in the 18th century, most likely on the foundations of an earlier church.
The construction is truly stunning, the building is old but well preserved, the art in this church is breathtaking. You can get inside on Sunday mornings or public holidays, the rest of the time the church is locked and the lush green garden around the church grounds is always open to visitors.
If you weren't specifically looking for the church, you may miss it and not find it. The building is located on the corner of Archbishop Kyprianou and Panagias Chrysopolitissas Avenue, next to the randobaut. On weekdays, people pass this place in a hurry and tourists rarely stop by.
