Work on The Landmark Nicosia in Nicosia is progressing rapidly.
The developer recently released photos showing what the hotel will look like.
The hotel is currently renovating the ground floor and mezzanine, building a new 180m2 swimming pool, two restaurants of 230m2 and 210m2 respectively, as well as a 32m2 café and a 150m2 bar. The renovation project also includes the creation of an underground and surface car park for 419 cars. As part of the work, the walls on the ground floor of the hotel building have already been demolished to allow the necessary changes to be made. The total area of the areas to be demolished is approximately 1450 m2, and the total area of the areas to be renovated is 1352 m2.
It should be noted that this is the first hotel complex in Cyprus to be part of the Autograph Collection, an international collection of exceptional independent hotels designed for a vibrant experience. According to the management company, The Landmark Nicosia will be a new landmark in the capital. The hotel will feature a design that combines the traditional character of the city with modern architectural trends. Upon opening, the hotel will meet the renowned standards of Marriott Autograph Collection Hotels, a globally recognised hotel brand. Incidentally, each project included in this list has been selected on the basis of strict criteria designed to preserve originality and uniqueness.
As for The Landmark Nicosia, the hotel will feature a modern 1.1 thousand m2 ballroom, spacious meeting rooms, a chic spa centre, a 75 m2 indoor swimming pool, a freeze bar and a fully equipped 250 m2 gym with facilities for yoga, Pilates and other fitness activities, a sauna, steam bath, snow room and contrast shower.
As a reminder, the flagship project is located at one of the most central points of the Cypriot capital, marking the entrance to the city centre.
In addition to the renovation of the hotel complex, two skyscrapers will be built on the former car park of The Landmark Nicosia. The site is elevated. As a result, the towers will stand out against the background of other nearby buildings and will be clearly visible from all corners of the city.
The 17-storey residential tower will contain 54 apartments, while the 16-storey commercial tower will house modern offices. Both the residential and commercial towers will have two levels of underground parking. The modern and innovative architectural design of the buildings will reflect the individuality and scale of the project, making it a true landmark in the city.
The total cost of the project is estimated to be in excess of €100 million.
It is expected that the appearance of the skyscrapers will increase the value of the area many times over. It is worth mentioning that the international hotel chain Marriott is participating in the implementation of this grandiose project.
