AURA Project in Limassol Wins Two Prestigious European Property Awards

The new AURA project by Property Gallery Developers & Constructors has won two awards at the European Property Awards 2026–2027. The project was named the winner in the Residential High Rise Development Cyprus and Residential High Rise Architecture Cyprus categories.

The European Property Awards recognise achievements in property, architecture, interior design and development. Projects are assessed by an independent panel of industry professionals. In 2026, the jury reviewed entries from specialists across a range of fields, including architecture, development, hospitality, design and marketing.

The official European Property Awards ceremony will take place on 22 October 2026 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. For AURA, the awards represent important international recognition even before construction begins. Property Gallery is currently preparing the site, while construction is expected to start in 2027.

Cyprus’s tallest skyscraper on the Limassol coastline

The AURA project was developed in collaboration with British architectural firm Foster + Partners. The skyscraper will have 44 floors and a height of approximately 181.5 m, making it the tallest building in Cyprus. The development will include 136 luxury apartments with two, three and four bedrooms. The estimated cost of the project was previously reported at €108 million.

AURA is designed not simply as a residential skyscraper, but as a complex combining premium residences, services and leisure and wellness facilities. Its architecture is intended to combine contemporary design solutions with a seaside lifestyle concept. The project will become another prominent feature of Limassol’s rapidly changing skyline. The city continues to attract major property investment: in the first half of 2026 alone, Limassol accounted for 6 of the 10 largest property transactions in Cyprus, with the combined value of these six deals reaching €117.2 million.

AURA set to become a new landmark for the Limassol property market

Property Gallery CEO Lira Ambrosidou said the company was particularly pleased to receive international recognition for AURA at such an early stage of the project. According to her, an international team of specialists is working on the development with the shared goal of creating a new architectural landmark for Limassol.

The arrival of such projects is particularly significant for the city. In recent years, Limassol’s coastline has been changing rapidly, with new office, hotel and mixed-use developments appearing alongside residential towers. For example, another major seafront project, Limassol Blu Marine, includes 4 towers — two residential and two office towers — with total investment exceeding €500 million.

Against this backdrop, AURA is set to occupy a distinctive place in Limassol’s new architectural landscape. If construction begins in 2027, the project will become one of the most prominent new high-rise developments in the Cyprus property market. The two European awards therefore confirm professional interest in the project even before its completion, while AURA itself reflects Limassol’s ongoing transformation into an international centre for premium property and high-rise architecture.
