Shajwawi Lebovich Karekla Developments Ltd has announced that it plans to build modern, new homes on the site of a former oil refinery in Larnaca.
The developer recently sent its new project, Horizon Towers, to the Cyprus Department of Environmental Protection to be checked.
The release says that the complex will be located on two plots of land in the Livadia neighbourhood. Two 20-storey towers (Horizon 1 and 2) with a height of 86 metres each are planned to be built on the first one. A total of 99 flats will be built. There will also be a five-storey building with many different uses. This building, Annex 1, will have shops, restaurants and cafes, a modern fitness centre, areas for wellness and spa treatments, and office space. Future owners will be pleased to know that there will be a 550-square-metre swimming pool with a depth of 1.4 metres, a children's playground, recreation areas, an underground car park that is 9,975 square metres in size and a surface bicycle park.
The second part of the project will be even more ambitious.
It has three 17-storey towers (Horizon 3, 4 and 5) with 85 flats each and one 16-storey tower (Horizon 6) with 77 flats. A three-storey building with shops and offices on the second plot is also going to be built. There is a lot of infrastructure for residents and guests of this part of the project:
- There are two outdoor swimming pools. Each 1.4 m deep and together cover an area of 900 m2.
- A children's pool that is 0.6 m deep and 120 m² in total area.
- A a 300-square-metre recreation area.
- A padel court that is 24 metres long and 13 metres wide.
- Green areas covering an area of 2.9 thousand square metres in total.
- Car park with 427 parking spaces, including 33 for people with disabilities.
The Horizon Towers project will be a new residential complex, but also a neighbourhood with modern infrastructure that is comfortable, environmentally friendly and of a high architectural standard. It will help make Larnaca one of the most exciting cities in Cyprus.
