A large-scale event will take place in Cyprus for everyone who loves sports, outdoor activities, and the atmosphere of a modern urban community. On April 4–5, Filia Sports Festival 2026 will be held in Limassol — a sports and entertainment festival that brings together a padel tournament, functional competitions, and a sports coworking format.
The event is organized with the support of the leading real estate agency DOM and Filon Ellinides. The venue chosen for the festival is the Padel Syndicate sports complex — a popular place to play padel in Limassol.
Padel tournament — the main event of Filia Sports Festival
The central event of Filia Sports Festival will be a padel tournament — one of the fastest-growing sports in Europe. In recent years, padel has become a real trend among lovers of active recreation and professional athletes.
The competition will take place at a venue with six courts and will bring together players of different skill levels. In particular, the tournament includes:
- women's beginner categories;
- men's low and high intermediate categories;
- the advanced category for experienced players.
Thanks to this format, both amateurs and more trained athletes will be able to take part.
The tournament will last for two days. The first day will be dedicated to group matches and qualifying games, and on the second day the semifinals and final matches will take place. A special event will be an exhibition match featuring high-level players from Spain — a country where padel is one of the most popular sports. This match promises to become a spectacular highlight of the festival and attract additional attention to the tournament.
Functional sports, challenges, and active recreation for all participants
In addition to padel, the festival will feature a large functional sports zone of about 300 m2. Here, guests will be able to take part in various athletic challenges, testing their strength, endurance, and physical fitness.
The program includes strength and cardio challenges popular in functional training. Participants will be able to test themselves in pull-ups for the maximum number of repetitions, challenge themselves in the 100 kg barbell press for the maximum number, and complete dynamic cardio challenges. The format of the zone is designed both for experienced athletes and for those who simply want to test their abilities and get a rush of adrenaline. Winners of the competitions will receive prizes and awards.
The organizers are focusing not only on competitions, but also on a full festival atmosphere. Filia Sports Festival is conceived as a meeting place for people who share an active and modern lifestyle. Therefore, the festival grounds will include: a street food zone, a music stage with DJs, photo zones, and interactive activities for guests. One of the main features of the festival will be the sports coworking space — a place where participants and guests will be able to communicate, meet each other, exchange ideas, and spend time between competitions. This format is gradually becoming popular in major European cities, and now it will appear in Cyprus as well.

DOM is developing a lifestyle community on the island
The festival is organized by DOM — one of the key players in the Cyprus real estate market. Support for the sports festival reflects the brand’s new strategy aimed at developing a lifestyle community and creating an environment for active living on the island. Filia Sports Festival is becoming part of this concept, where real estate, sports, and urban culture are united into a single ecosystem.
The organizers expect the festival to attract a wide audience. The event is aimed at sports lovers, families with children, and the island’s active community. The main goal of the project is to unite people through sport and create a new point of attraction for an active lifestyle in Cyprus.
If the format proves successful, Filia Sports Festival may become a new tradition in Cyprus, one of the first events where sports, community, brands, and modern leisure culture are organically combined.
