A big project worth more than €50 million will be implemented on the site of the former cement plant in Moni (Limassol district).
According to a study recently submitted by Sarels Ltd to the Department of Environment, the project envisages the construction of a complex that will include residential and commercial properties.
Construction work on the new complex is expected to begin at the end of 2021 and last for about 4 years. The project is planned to be implemented in four stages, each of which will last about a year.
It is worth noting that the Moni cement plant was previously located on the site of the future development, which was completely demolished. In the future, it will turn into a large modern complex.

The project involves dividing the building site into two parts: the southern part (block 1 of 62,268 m2) and the northern one (block 2 of 29,265 m2).
Block 1 will have private houses, while Block 2 will house multi-apartment high-rises and commercial facilities.

In particular, the project will include:
- 7 high-rise buildings (4 - 9 floors),
- 84 private houses,
- 6 shops,
- parking for guests and visitors of the complex,
- public green areas,
- 84 swimming pools,
- spa and wellness area,
- playground,
- tennis court,
- church,
- biological wastewater treatment plant,
- public road (access to the site),
- private roads (internal),
- public and private pedestrian street.

It is noteworthy that the proposed development will include a total of 320 parking spaces, of which 7 will be reserved for people with disabilities (in block 2 - the northern part of the complex). In addition, about 20 parking spaces will be created for bicycles.
The total cost of the project is estimated at €50 million.
